This reliable tool is placed next to the kitchen sink and only requires a simple finger pump to quickly dispense some soap. It has become a very convenient accessory for most families.
One unfortunate morning, when you find that the pump is not working, this can be very annoying. The most common is that either the spring is broken or it is blocked.
To make it work normally again, you must first disassemble the dispenser to investigate the problem. Just follow these simple techniques that I will discuss.
Disassemble the distributor
To disassemble the dispenser, first unscrew the pump parts. It's very simple, you only need a minimum screwdriver that matches your screw head.

Fixed soap curing (general method)
Start filling the basin with hot water. If you are using a farmhouse sink, fill the sink with warm water. Add about one tablespoon of bleach to the water. You will use it to disinfect the pump.
The pump should now be connected to the distributor with screws. You need to unscrew them to gradually remove the pump from the dispenser.
Soak the separated pump in warm water. Stay in this state for about fifteen minutes. After proper soaking for a period of time, let the water drain from the sink.
Now open the sink and let some warm water flow out. You need to place the pump under running water. Do this for a few minutes.
While holding it, you will push the nozzle several times. This will help any old soap simply be removed from the pump. Once you see clean water spraying out, stop the flushing pump.
Now get a pipe cleaner. Use it to remove any logs that water cannot handle. You only need to insert the pipe into the transparent tube of the pump. Flush the pump underwater again by pushing the nozzle several times.
The pump should now be clean. Just put it back in the dispenser. Make sure to tighten the screws firmly to avoid loosening during the next use. However, avoid over tightening.
The pump trigger is stuck.
In some cases, when you press the trigger of the pump, it completely refuses to lower or move. There may be many reasons behind this happening.
In addition, the problem may lie in the spring of the soap dispenser mechanism. A defect may have affected the system.
Check that the spring is properly aligned inside. If this is not a problem, a new pump must be purchased.
Soap is not discharged.
Sometimes the soap dispenser is completely filled with liquid, but still cannot drain. Even if the trigger is pressed, it will not appear at all.
This may be due to the soap accumulating in the tube. In this case, you must unscrew the pump to inspect the inside.
In a few cases, the main problem is pipe damage. Therefore, it eventually formed cracks or holes, causing trouble. If this is what you found, then you will have to replace the tube or the entire pump.
Depressive trigger problem.
In some cases, the trigger of the dispenser remains lowered. Once it is pressed, it cannot return to its original position.
You need to unscrew the pump of the dispenser and look at the spring to find out. Press several times to restore the actual tension to the spring. If the tension disappears completely, the spring must be replaced.
A mobile pump
In this case, the pump of the dispenser moves from its position when pressed. This is usually caused by improper installation.
